Rep. DeGette invites you to a community forum on Feb. 28

From today's mail:

Rep. Diana DeGetteI would like to invite you and/or others you deem appropriate to my Community Leader Forum for the South Central and Southwest neighborhoods of Denver on Saturday, February 28, from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Southwest Improvement Council (SWIC), located at 1000 South Lowell Blvd. in Denver.

My District Office is hosting these forums around the 1st  Congressional District to meet with community leaders and interested citizens to discuss current issues that affect our community and our nation.  The fiscal crisis in Washington is having severe impacts on matters affecting each of us, such as the economy, healthcare, Mediare and Medicaid, Social Security, community and economic development, affordable housing and education.  These ongoing concerns affect our families and community.  How we as citizens deal with them is vitally important to our future.

More importantly, I want to learn what is on your mind and get a better sense from you about how I can help our neighborhoods and our community in Washington, D.C.

I would greatly appreciate your attending this Community Leader Forum because I need your input.  Please contact my Congressional Aide, Karly Malpiede, at 303-844-4988, ext. 208, or via email at Karly.Malpiede@mail.house.gov to let us know if you will be able to attend.  I look forward to seeing you and working with you on the things that are important to your neighborhood and our community.

Sincerely,

Diana DeGette

Member of Congress

This is an incredible opportunity for your voice to be heard by the person we have hired to represent us in Congress, and I personally urge all PCPs in HD2 to attend.  You are the voice of your community, and I want us to show that Denver County Democrats are engaged in our communities.
