A Preview of the 2009
Legislative Session
The Speaker-designate of the State House of Representatives, Terrance Carroll, and the incoming Chair of the Joint Budget Committee, Senator Moe Keller, will speak at the December Downtown Democratic Forum breakfast meeting. Legislators face many problems as a result of the economic downturn, the approaching end of Referendum C's temporary time-out on TABOR refunds, and the failure of several initiatives that would have funded programs in transportation, health care, and education. As usual, there will be time for attendees to offer their questions and comments.
