Dear Denver Democrats:
Thank you for your support and hard work in sending Barack Obama to the White House and Mark Udall to the U.S. Senate – what a difference change makes! With President Obama and an expanded majority in Congress, the 111th Congress got off to a great start. In just a few short weeks, President Barack Obama has put forth a bold, yet realistic path that is reflective of our Democratic values. From science to health care to the economy, President Obama is turning campaign rhetoric into real policy. As Chief Deputy Whip and Vice Chair of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, I have the opportunity to be at the center of many of these debates in Congress.

As mandated by state law and Colorado Democratic Party Rules, the Denver Democratic Central Committee will meet on Sunday, February 8th, 2009 for the purpose of electing new officers. Check-in will start at 1:30 p.m, and the meeting will be gaveled to order at 2:00 p.m.

Party Central Committee Meeting Tuesday, October 7

The Central Committee meeting was held on Tuesday, October 7. In addition to conducting the party business we heard from Senate President Peter Groff, House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, heard a welcome letter from Congresswoman Diana DeGette, and Party Chair Jennifer Coken. Congressman (soon to be US Senator!) Mark Udall made a special appearance.

Denver Campaign Race and Issue Debates - Schedule

INC and the League of Women Voters of Denver is sponsoring a series of candidate and issues forums.
The Forum will be taped at Denver 8 TV, located at 8269 East 23rd Avenue in Denver’s Stapleton neighborhood (near Uinta and East 23rd Ave.) The forums will be played on Denver 8 TV on several occasions prior to the Election and voters can view these programs 24×7 online at www.denvergov.org/denver8tv.
The public is enthusiastically invited to attend these Forum tapings. During the Issues Forum, audience members will submit questions to the Moderator, to be answered by both a supporter and an opponent of the Issue. Please pass this message along to everyone you know, and plan on attending!
