County Re-Organization/ Central Committee Meeting

County Re-Organization

It is that time again where we elect our party officers to serve the next two years.

Officers to be elected:

County Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer

House District and Senate District Chairs, Vice-Chairs, and Secretaries (These folks run the 2010 Assemblies for their districtis)

Subdistrict Captains and Co-Captains (these folks do the day to day operations of their subdistricts and serve on the County Executive Committee)

In addition we will also be selecting the people who will fill Denver's "Bonus Member" slots on the State Executive Committee, State Central Committee, CD1 Central Committee, and State Platform Committee.

The meeting will take place at Lincoln High School, 2285 S Federal Blvd.  Click here for a map.

Precinct Committee People (PCP) and the PCP Handbook

Author:
Democratic Party of Denver

Precinct Committee Person

Two PCPs are elected at caucus to serve a two-year term. PCPs serve as the primary connection between the Party and voters and represent their precinct at important Party functions. Precinct committee people contact voters and provide information on the Democratic Party and its candidates. They also serve as part of the Central Committee and vote for county officers.
As a Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs), you are the representative of the Democratic Party in your neighborhood. Your precinct is the smallest political unit in the county and the cornerstone of grassroots organizing for your Democratic Party. It is in precincts where elections are won or lost, and PCPs are vital to ensuring strong Democratic support for Party candidates and issues.
If you are interested in being a PCP, please contact your sub-district Captain to see if the slots have been filled. If they have, you can still be a part of this important team.
