Background:  Senator Paula Sandoval has resigned her office effective May 12, 2010.
 
The Chair of the Senate District 34 Democratic Central Committee, Rebecca Brooks, has set the following agenda to select a replacement for Senator Sandoval.

1. Call to order by the Senate District Central Committee Chair.
 
2. Report of the Credentials Committee and determination of a quorum. A quorum consists of 1/2 of the voting membership of the Vacancy Committee. [C.R.S. § 1-12-203(3)]
 
3. Motion to accept the Senate District Central Committee Officers as the Vacancy Committee Officers.
 
4. Opening remarks by the Chair of the Senate District Central Committee.
 
5. Message from Senator Sandoval.
 
6. Presentation of the proposed election procedures for SD34. A copy of these procedures is included in the call for this meeting.
 
7. Approval of the election procedures for SD34.
 
7. Nominations of candidates for State Senator, District 34.
 
8. Termination of registration and final report of the Credentials Committee.
 
9. Balloting for State Senator, District 34.
 
10. Announcement and presentation of the selected State Senator, District 34.
 
11. Other business.
 
12. Adjournment.
