The Denver Elections Division offices will offer the following extended hours:
Voters should never drop off ballots after hours or at any unsecured location.
May 4, 2010 Vacancy Election

A Special Vacancy Election will be held on May 4, 2010 to fill the Council District 1 seat vacated by Rick Garcia.
Ballots were mailed to District 1 voters on April 15. Voters have several options for returning their ballots.
Two locations are available to assist voters for this election: the Service Center at Scheitler Recreation Center , 5031 W. 46th Ave. , in Council District #1; and the Denver Elections Division, 200 W. 14th Ave. , in downtown Denver . Voters can return their ballots by mail or drop them off at one of the two service center locations. A drive-up drop-off will be available at both locations during the hours of operation. Other voter services will be offered at both locations, including replacements for lost or spoiled ballots and accessible voting systems for voters with disabilities.

- Monday, April 26 through Saturday, May 1: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Monday, May 3: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Election Day, Tuesday, May 4: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

- Monday, April 26 through Friday, April 30: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, May 1: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Monday, May 3: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Election Day, Tuesday, May 4: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Voters should never drop off ballots after hours or at any unsecured location.
For voters who prefer to return their ballot by mail, the return postage is 61 cents. Ballots must be received by the Denver Elections Division or at the Service Center at Scheitler Recreation Center no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots returned after 7 p.m. on May 4 will not be counted regardless of the postmark.
