Senator Paula Sandoval Wins City Council District 1 Special Vacancy Election

Congratulations to Senator Paula Sandoval, who won the City Council District 1 Special Vacancy Election Tuesday night and will take the seat formerly held by Rick Garcia, who resigned in March to accept an appointment by the Obama administration as HUD Regional Director for Denver.

Sen. Sandoval's victory means a Vacancy Committee Election will take place on May 16th to fill her Senate seat (Senate District 34).
