Senator Paula Sandoval (pictured) has been elected to fill the City Council District 1 seat vacated by Rick Garcia. She will be resigning from the Senate effective midnight on May 12th to take on her new responsibilities in the Denver City Council.
Senate District 34 will hold a Vacancy Committee election to fill the seat and complete the term. The election is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2010 at SEIU Local 105 at 2525 W. Alameda Ave. in Denver. Members of the Vacancy Committee should recieve notice in the mail regarding this election by Monday, May 10. Details will be posted on this site as they become available.
