November Service Day in House District 4

 

 

 

 

You are invited to participate in the November Day of Service for House District 4. This event will place special emphasis on the needs of the south part of our house district.

 

We will meet at 1 pm at the Maes Realty building 1516 Xavier St.  We will have a one hour lunch and discussion about the needs in HD4 B and plan future service projects.  We will have a feedback session on what we can do to better meet the needs of the West Colfax, Villa Park and Barnum neighborhoods. Lunch will be served. This will be the beginning of an ongoing discussion on how we can better improve voter turnout and participation in the south part of the house district as we approach 2010.  

 

After meeting we will do a one hour canvass in the Villa Park neighborhood planned by groundwork Denver.  This canvass involves going door to door and giving away a free compact flourescent bulb, reusable grocery bags, sign up for windsource and recycling.  It is a great opportunity to connect with the community and educate on green living.
 

We highly encourage participation from people who live in the areas that are south of the Sloan’s Lake area, but the support of everyone is encouraged.
