Meet with elected officials from Denver and throughout Colorado as they highlight key bills still in play in the legislative session and enlist our help in garnering the support needed to ensure success.
State Senators Chris Romer and Pat Steadman and State Representatives Beth McCann, Lois Court, Joe Miklosi, and Mark Ferrandino will be participating.
Senator Pat Steadman will speak about his Voting Rights Bill.
Represenative Lois Court will discuss ballot measures she's working on regarding dealing with the mess in our state constitution and protecting it from further abuse.
Representative Joe Miklosi will discuss his new energy job creation act to empower 50,000 homeowners statewide to receive financing to put solar or wind or geothermal or energy efficiency improvements on their homes.
Representative Beth McCann will speak about several bills, including medical marijuana, eliminating gender bias in health insurance, requiring health insurers to offer coverage for maternity care and contraceptive care, her my Adopt a Pet Shelter license plate, and her bill to allow the county jails to establish work programs for inmates that will allow them to produce products sold in the market and allow them to make a decent wage and to learn a skill.
