Denver Dems Public Policy Committee Monthly Meeting
Public Policy Committee
Monthly Meeting
The Democractic Party of Denver's Public Policy Committee meets monthly to plan and organize around the pressing public policy issues the Party is engaged in. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to help in a variety of policy areas, including the following:
- tracking and organizing around legislative action in the Colorado State Assembly;
- recruiting and coordinating expert speakers to address policy issues on behalf of the Democratic Party of Denver at meetings and forums throughout the area;
- plan forums and debates to showcase critical policy issues, to educate the public, and to inspire action;
- to continually develop resources for Party activists and to use our Party website as a clearinghouse for these resources.
Our primary focus during the 2010 General Election campaign is to coordinate the Democratic opposition to a handful of dangerous ballot initiatives facing voters at the polls in November. We are also working on Health Care Reform, Environment and Energy, Education, Fiscal Policy, Immigration, and Labor, and will engage in additional policy areas as the Party moves forward.
Please join us for our monthly meeting the second Monday of each month if you are interested in becoming actively involved with the Public Policy Committee.
