Colorado State Assembly, Saturday, May 22, 2010

In the only contested race at Saturday's State Assembly, Andrew Romanoff (above) beat Michael Bennet (below) in the bid for ballot designation.  Both candidates qualified for the primary ballot, and Romanoff will get top billing, based on the results.

The vote of statewide delegates was as follows:

Andrew Romanoff     60.4%
Michael Bennet         39.6%

The August 10th primary is a mail ballot election.  Ballots will be mailed in July, and select service centers will be open for eight days leading up to Election Day.

The 2010 Colorado State Assembly will take place Saturday, May 22 in Broomfield.  Check-in will start at 7:00 AM.  Call to order for the assembly will be at 9:00 AM.

The location this year will be the 1st Bank Center (formerly known as the Odeum or the Broomfield Events Center).

Delegates and alternates to the state assembly should have received their official call and other details by email or postal mail in early May.  If you have not received your call, please contact the Colorado Democratic Party at 2010assembly@coloradodems.org.
