Bal Martinez-Chaves, June 17, 1942--March 8, 2010

The Democratic Party of Denver is sad to report the death of longtime Democratic activist and Precinct Committee Person Bal Martinez-Chaves.  

Bal passed away on Monday, March 8th, while at home. His funeral will be on Monday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Cajetan's Catholic Church on West Alameda and Newton.

Bal served us as Captain for House District 2B for many years, and was a Precinct Committee Person for the Democractic Party of Denver at the time of his death.. His experience and advice and wisdom will be missed.

Research on the Life and Times of Bal Martinez-Chaves for a city council proclamation was already being prepared by City Councilor Paul Lopez. Bal knew about this before he passed. Paul is working on it for presentation to the Council on Monday. If you cannot attend the Mass, you are welcome to attend the reading of the proclamation.
