The 2009 Sam Sandos Christmas Baskets

Denver City Councilman Paul Lopez (District 3) is keeping a West Denver Christmas tradition going with the 2009 Sam Sandos Christmas Baskets Program. 

"As you might imagine, every year the number of households requesting assistance has increased and the economic stability of families in West Denver has decreased," Lopez writes. "That’s why this year we need to go above and beyond–now more than ever—to ensure that everyone who has requested a Christmas Basket will receive one.  On behalf of the program, I wholeheartedly ask for your help in contribution towards purchasing turkeys and Christmas Dinner supplies. Also, please consider making time to volunteer in helping assemble, prepare and deliver baskets around our community."

Baskets will be assembled and delivered on December 19th.
